A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Kendra and I grew up in a small town in Illinois where my love of animals was ignited at a very young age.  There were pets in my house for as long as I can remember and I learned how to care for them as I grew.  I didn't know it at the time, but caring for pets would become a central part of my life.  From my meager beginnings as a kennel attendant to learning the ups and downs of life as a vet tech, my love of animals has always been strong.  Along the way I also developed a love of the outdoors and became an avid hiker.  This love of adventure carried me to the great state of Colorado, where I spent ten fantastic years exploring all the beautiful places that I could find.  My most recent adventures have brought me here to Roseburg, Oregon where I hope to continue sharing my loves of animals and the outdoors with my new community.

THE CRITTERS I'VE CARED FOR

In my lifetime I have lived with and loved a number of different species.  I have had several cats and dogs, as well as a cornsnake, rats, gerbils, hamsters, fish, chickens, guinea pigs and even a random baby squirrel or two.  In my twelve years as a vet tech I handled critters big and small; from parakeets and sugar gliders to large critters such as horses, goats and alpacas.  I have also done all the things I can with cats and dogs, from caring for them at boarding kennels and learning how to groom them to assisting in surgeries and administering medical treatments.  My favorite patients were always the old, sweet critters that seemed to appreciate a little extra TLC.
